WHAT HE DID Freiermuth cial visit
to Notre Dame in April 2016. A?er that
trip, he quickly picked up o=ers from the
likes of Massachusetts, Toledo, Boston
College, Syracuse and Rutgers. He
camped at Penn State in July 2016, earn-
ing a scholarship o=er and quickly re-
turning to Happy Valley the next month.
While on that uno>cial visit, Freier-
muth made the call for the Nittany
Lions. He returned to University Park
three more times before taking his o>-
cial visit this past December. A?er he
signed, James Franklin extolled his ver-
satility. "You're talking about a 6-5,
250-pound road-grader, a tough guy
with really so? hands," Franklin said.
