ANALYSIS Penn State will enter spring
practice in mid-March with four schol-
arship quarterbacks on its roster: <>h-
year senior Trace McSorley, redshirt
junior Tommy Stevens, redshirt fresh-
man Sean Cli=ord and redshirt sopho-
more Jake Zembiec.
That, however, does not mean Franklin
and o=ensive coordinator Ricky Rahne are
without concerns at the quarterback po-
sition. There is a possibility that Stevens
could head elsewhere as a graduate trans-
fer a>er picking up his diploma in May.
Also, there has been speculation that
Zembiec may pursue a transfer a>er
spring practice. If the Lions were to lose
two QBs before the start of the season,
Levis's signing would take on extra mean-
ing.
McSorley will be a strong contender
for er having his junior season
ended by a knee injury last September,
Penn State could be at least three-deep
at both defensive end positions.
