WHAT
HE DID
Capitalizing on his out-
standing athletic ability, North Sta;ord
put Asiedu at tight end during his soph-
omore season. He :nished the year with
25 catches for 300 yards and nine touch-
downs, and he caught 15 passes for 315
yards and nine TDs as a junior. But he
really came into his own a=er moving to
o;ensive tackle. As a senior, he helped
North Sta;ord :nish its regular season
at 7-3. A=er defeating Mountain View in
the :rst round of the VHSL Group 5A
playo;s, the Wolverines were upset the
following weekend by Brooke Point, 22-
20. Asiedu played o;ense and defense
for that team, :nishing his senior year
with 20 tackles. North Sta;ord went 24-
14 during his three years on varsity.
WHAT HE WON Asiedu earned :rst-
team All-Conference and second-team
All-Region honors as a sophomore. An
Army All-American, he was named
:rst-team All-Conference and All-Re-
gion in 2016 and '17 and was a :rst-team
All-State selection his junior and senior
years. Rivals.com lists him as a four-star
prospect. He's rated 141st in the Ri-
vals250 and is the No. 4 prospect in Vir-
ginia and No. 11 o;ensive tackle
nationally.
WHERE HE VISITED It was believed that
Asiedu was leaning heavily toward
Clemson, which was coming o; a na-
tional championship. But the Nittany
Lions made major inroads last February
when they welcomed him for a junior
day. He returned in April for Blue-White
