WHAT HE DID Scruggs capped his sen-
ior season at Cathedral Prep by helping
lead the Ramblers to their second con-
secutive PIAA Class AAAA champi-
onship. Cathedral Prep defeated
Imhotep Charter, 38-28, in the teams'
third consecutive meeting in the title
game. A team captain last year, Scruggs
also excelled as a defensive lineman, to-
taling 55 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, four
sacks and an interception. The year be-
fore, he had 31 tackles, 11 tackles for
loss and five sacks.
WHAT HE WON Scruggs earned ;rst-
team All-Region and All-District honors
following his sophomore, junior and
senior seasons. He was also a ;rst-team
All-State choice the past two seasons by
the Pennsylvania Football
Writers/Broadcasters. A four-star
prospect, Scruggs is
rated by Rivals.com as
the No. 14 overall
prospect in Pennsyl-
