Taylor won't remain anonymous for very long now that she's back in action. "Dara was always a showstopper on the court," said Kristin Caldwell, her coach at Caravel Academy High in Bear, Del. "She was always so humble about her physical gifts." Taylor remembers her first tryout for
the Caravel team. "I was thinking, I'm going to play some JV, get a little bit of varsity time," she said. Caldwell had other ideas, telling Tay-
lor, "There's no way you're going to play JV." The coach followed through, too, putting Taylor on the varsity squad as a ninth-grader. To keep in shape after Caravel's bas- ketball season, Taylor joined the track
