"There's a couple of teams in today's NFL that if you're an interior lineman below 6-3, 6-3.5, they're not going to consider you," Galko said of the 6-1.5, 314-pounder. "It's tough to say that, but that's how a lot of teams function. … His arm length [33 3/8 inches] helps greatly there because teams can say he's not quite 6-3, but his arm length is representative of being a 6-3 blocker. "He was one of the few blockers the whole week of practice and even the game that could contain Kentavius Street. … I think he did a great job overall during the week." Unique Hybrids Round Out The Group Opinions differ on the Pack's two skill position players — versatile weapon Jaylen Samuels and speedster Nyheim Hines, who just wrapped up his junior campaign. Samuels, much like he has for his entire career, can't even be placed into one posi- tion group. He was famously an All-ACC tight end — before the league added an all-purpose designation that coincided with his rise to prominence — but he practiced and played as a true running back at the Senior Bowl. When he goes to the combine, he'll be back at tight end, which should give him adequate opportunity to show off his well- rounded skill set for the scouts. Galko thinks Samuels could go as high as the first round because he's a part of the new breed of hybrid player he foresees the NFL going towards. He contends that eventually skill players will be split into just two groups — outside receivers and all-purpose players who can move around and be on the field for all three downs. "He can be a running back running a dive, he can be a slot receiver running a diversion, he can be a slot receiver running a true route, he can be a tight end, he can be an H-back," Galko explained. "That's the value — just because he's on the field, just because where he's aligned, no longer do teams know what's going to happen. "It's what NFL teams are going to want. I've talked to many scouts about that, and that's what teams are coveting. Samuels can be the first version of that. … I think there's a really good chance he's a top 50-60 pick." "If you try to make him just a running back or just have him split out wide, then you're not really letting him reach his own potential," Trapasso added. "I really think he's a player that can be good in the NFL.
