PREGAME REPORT W I S C O N S I N @ P E N N S T A T E 3 : 3 0 P . M . , N O V . 2 4 E S P N 2 WISCONSIN FACTS COACH Brett Bielema (Iowa, '92) COACH'S RECORD 67-23 in seven sea- sons as head coach. TEAM'S RECORD 7-4 (4-3 Big Ten) RECORD VS. PENN STATE The Badgers lead the series, 9-2. (Four Penn State vic- tories have been vacated.) PREVIOUS MEETINGWisconsin running back Montee Ball gouged Penn State for 156 rushing yards and four touchdowns in the Badgers' 45-7 blowout victory on Nov. 26, 2011. THE GOOD SENIOR MOMENT Wisconsin's senior class owns a 39-12 overall record throughout the past four seasons. A 40th win would tie the school record for most victories over a four- year span. THE BAD TAKE A PASS Down to their third starting quarterback since the season opener, the Badgers sport the Big Ten's worst passing offense, averaging just 165.6 yards per game. THE UGLY BADGER BLOWOUT In the past three meetings between Penn State and Wiscon- sin, an average point differential of 36.7 has separated the winner from the losing team. DID YOU KNOW? Against Ohio State last week, Ball became the first running back to rush for more than 190 yards against a Buckeye de- fense since Penn State's Eric McCoo ran for 211 on Oct. 16, 1999. Steve Manuel SPIN CITY In his previous encounter with the Nittany Lions, Ball rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns. Wisconsin has one final test before its Big Ten title game POWER BALL TIM OWEN | OWE N . T I M . B WI@G M A I L . C O M The law of averages tells you that when Wisconsin running back Montee Ball leaves Beaver Stadium on Satur- day, he will be the NCAA record-holder for most ca- reer touchdowns. Averaging well over one touchdown per game in 2012, the running back from Wentzville, Mo., is just a single touchdown shy of becoming major college football's all-time scoring N O V E M B E R 2 1 , 2 0 1 2 1 leader. He tied the record of 78 touch- downs last week in a 21-14 overtime loss to Ohio State. But nearly four months and 17 touchdowns ago, it ap- peared as if Ball might not reach his full potential as a senior. And by his standards, even though he is once again the Big Ten's best running back, he still hasn't. B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . C O M
