Besides a two game lacrosse schedule, the trip included profes- sional and career development time in Midtown, cheering on UVA during the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament at the Barclays Center and a service experience in Harlem mentoring student-athletes from Harlem's Frederick Douglass Academy. Owen Van Arsdale '15 arranged both a relaxed atmosphere with his middle school boys in the school's library where student- athletes from Virginia Men's Lacrosse team signed posters and held a lacrosse practice session out on the school's handball courts. The middle school boys competed on con - crete with no complaint and the time shared with Harlem Lacrosse was equally beneficial for members of the Virginia Men's Lacrosse team as it was for the Harlem boys.
