for the actual games. But also, there was that family feeling from the coaches. Coach Franklin and all of his coaches showed a lot of love to me and my family. We enjoyed getting to know them more. They're good people." As for Weston, he committed to Florida in July 2017 but has yet to visit with the Gators' new head coach, Dan Mullen. Penn State believes it has a real chance to 5ip Weston's commitment, mainly due to his relationship with new running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider, a Florida native who has done an excellent job recruiting his home state. Seider played a major role in landing Weston's commitment while part of the Gators' sta6 last summer. The Nittany Lions also hosted 11 Class of 2019 prospects for uno7cial visits on Blue-White Weekend. Some of the more notable recruits who attended were de- fensive tackle Antonio Alfano of Rahway, N.J.; defensive end Adisa Isaac of Brook- lyn, N.Y.; and wide receiver John Metchie of Hagerstown, Md., as well as four elite o6ensive linemen: Jakai Moore of Nokesville, Va.; Xavier Truss of Warwick, R.I.; Caedan Wallace of Princeton, N.J.; and Saleem Wormley of Smryna, Del. Wallace was the only player to commit in April, but it's since become clear that the sta6 is also in an excellent position with both Wormley and Moore. "It was worth the trip," Wormley said. "Penn State has some great fans. There was a lot of energy out there. The coaches were cool." Moore was impressed with the atmos- phere in Beaver Stadium. "It's crazy how the fans are about Penn State," he said. "They're diehard. But also, just that fam- ily-like environment really stood out. The coaches were also saying that they need me bad to play o6ensive tackle." For the past few months, Penn State has been considered the favorite to sign Metchie, but he continues to pick up scholarship o6ers from some of the na- tion's best programs, a list that includes Alabama and Georgia. In April, the 6- foot-0, 188-pound wideout took uno7- cial visits to Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame. He's hoping to visit the two Southeastern Conference schools this summer. The sta6 also used the spring game to host a handful of its top targets in the 2020 and '21 recruiting classes. Wide re- ceivers Julian Fleming of Catawissa, Pa., and Rakim Jarrett of Washington, D.C., both had good things to say about the at- mosphere in the stadium. Penn State drew 71,000 fans for its spring game, the fourth-highest crowd in the country this year. "The trip was sensational," Jarrett said.
