M . | J U N E 3 0 | H O L U B A H A L L | T V T B A | Li, for Life is usually held on the same weekend as the Central Pennsylvania Festi- val of the Arts to capitalize on the in*ux of visitors to State College. But this year's event will take place a couple of weeks before the hoards of art lovers descend on Centre County. No reason was given for the change, but for some Penn Staters, the divergence will no doubt serve as an excellent excuse to make two midsummer visits to the ol' alma mater rather than the usual one visit. More than 80 members of the Nittany Lion football team are expected to participate in this year's Li, for Life, which will pit o+ense against defense in a series of strength-training competitions. As always, proceeds will go to Upli,ing Athletes in support of its e+orts to combat rare diseases. The players will also be available for an autograph session following the competition. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m., and there is a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for kids. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., players will conduct a kids clinic. The cost of the clinic is $15 per child, and participants will receive a Li, for Life T-shirt. –M.H. SCORECARD
