Outfielder Brett Williams Can���t Wait To Make His Return

rett Williams was NC State���s forgotten man a year ago. Now, with
the 2013 college baseball season
rapidly approaching, Williams is
looking forward to reminding everyone
exactly what they missed.
A fifth-year senior outfielder from New
Bern, N.C., Williams entered 2012 as the
Wolfpack���s top returning position player.
Versatile and multitalented, he showed all
the tools in 2011. He batted .286 and led
NC State with six home runs, four triples
and nine stolen bases in as many attempts.
He was second on the team with a .445
slugging percentage and tied for third with
35 RBI. Defensively, Williams was a human highlight reel in center field.
He figured to be one of the Pack���s offensive and defensive leaders a year ago, a
senior leader on a team dominated by the
nation���s best freshman class, but in his third
at-bat in the season opener versus Marshall, he suffered a torn anterior cruciate
