Austin Bryant - The Opening

July 9, 2014

Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central four-star defensive end Austin Bryant visited Notre Dame for the Irish Invasion camp in June and it looks like a return visit will occur this fall. The 6-4, 245-pound recruit has high interest in Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, UCLA and many others, but he's locked in an official visit to see the Fighting Irish a second time. Blue & Gold Illustrated caught up with Bryant to get his thoughts on Notre Dame, his relationship with defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder, and his timeline for making a final decision. Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Bryant is the No. 144 overall prospect in the 2015 class, the No. 11 weak-side defensive end in the country and the No. 15 player in Georgia.
