of Chesapeake, Va., were a few of the other notable 2019 prospects in atten- dance. The sta1 has already received commit- ments from two wide receivers, but Bell remains a major target. He told Rivals an- alyst Josh Helmholdt that he had "a great visit," adding that Penn State is "a place I could see myself at." Rouse is also still in play, as Penn State could take as many as 0ve o1ensive linemen. At defensive tackle, Hunte is the sta1's top target, while Smiley and Baltimore native D'von Ellies are also in play. Ellies did not attend the Lasch Bash but re- ceived an o1er from the sta1 the next day. Penn State also handed out an o1er to 2019 tight end Brenton Strange that same day, as he turned in an excellent perform- ance at the sta1's 0nal prospect camp of the summer. Since April, Strange, of Parkersburg, W.Va., has been developing into one of the region's hottest prospects, earning 17 scholarships o1ers in a span of four months. In June, he camped at North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wake Forest, all of which extended o1ers. Penn State was Strange's 0nal stop of the summer. Because his visit took place right a2er a month-long dead period, he had plenty of time to study the program. The more he learned, the more he liked. "I did my research on Penn State a little bit, so I came in knowing that I wanted to get the o1er and that it would mean a lot to me," he said. "They're for sure going to be a school that I'm going to give a serious look at." Earlier this year, it appeared as if the sta1 didn't need to add a tight end in the 2019 class, but it's beginning to look likely that the Lions will take another. In addi- tion to the schools mentioned, Strange also holds o1ers from Louisville, Purdue, Rutgers and West Virginia. ■ 2019 HOT LIST * NAME HT WT RATING HOME SCHOOLunning Back Noah Cain 5-11 195 ★★★★ Denton, Texas IMG Academy (Fla.)
