PSU COMES UP SHORT
Fourth-quarter fade seals Nittany Lions' fate in loss to Buckeyes
A heroic performance by Trace McSorley and a
wall of white noise weren't enough to hold off Ohio
State.
James Franklin had asked for an intimidating en-
vironment, and he got it, as the White Out crowd
helped keep the fourth-ranked Buckeyes on their
heels for most of the game. But Dwayne Haskins
and company settled down just long enough, and
Ohio State rallied for a 27-26 victory over Penn
State on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
It was the fourth time in the past five meetings
between the two teams that the outcome was de-
cided by a touchdown or less. It was also Ohio
State's sixth win the past seven games in the series,

it wasn't
enough to pre-
