we're going to miss Julian. Nobody has really talked about him. But to have these two guys, the way that they're going to play, the way that they're going to produce – I put our two fives up against anybody in the country. I put our front line up against anybody in the country. If you look at the Big Ten top to bottom, we've got one of the best front lines. Josh, Lamar, Mike and John? I'm adding four there. It's really three, but I'm adding four because John and Mike will split time. It's pretty excit- ing stuff. BWI We can't get into specifics, but how has last year's success helped on the recruiting trail? CHAMBERS We've been received much better. The four-year extension helped, because now people can't say, "He's on the hot seat." I got a four- year extension. I think the success of 26 wins and cutting down the nets at MSG [was helpful]. We're on national television and everybody watched us beat Marquette, and most people watched us beat Notre Dame, and most people watched us beat Missis- sippi State and Utah. Really, that's the best recruiting tool possible, and I think we've got a terrific class coming in of really good guys who are going to fill our needs. We have needs right now because we have the potential to lose our front line, which is a good news, bad news [situation], but excit- ing at the same time. BWI And is the same true of Tony Carr being drafted to the NBA? CHAMBERS I think him getting drafted, first draft pick since 1999, just shows the player development and where the program is. It's head- ing in the right direction, for sure. So with the NIT run, the 26 wins, the 51 records broken, him getting drafted, Shep breaking the single-season 3- point record in the Big Ten. Isn't that nice to say? So when they say, "Who is the single-season record-holder in the Big Ten?" I can say, "It's Shep Garner. And he went to Penn State." How's that? ■ Penn State added a key recruit to its Class of 2019 when Rivals150 small for- ward Seth Lundy picked the Nittany Lions over Marquette, Louisville and Virginia Tech. Lundy, who stands 6-foot-6, 195 pounds, is ranked 118th nationally and 25th among small forwards. The Philadelphia prospect has received four stars from Rivals.com. In announcing his decision via Twitter on Oct. 5, Lundy said it was difficult to pick from among the final four schools on his list. "Unfortunately I can only go to one school," he said. "So next year, in the fall of 2019, I'm going to be attending Penn State University." According to Philly.com, Lundy aver- aged 16.4 points and 8.7 rebounds as a junior last season, helping Roman Catholic win the Philadelphia Catholic League title and eventually a PIAA championship. The Cahillites have developed a strong connection with Penn State in recent years, sending Shep Garner, Tony Carr, Lamar Stevens and Nazeer Bostick to University Park. Lundy, who also received scholarship offers from Florida, Georgetown, Mis- sissippi and Oregon, said Penn State has been recruiting him for several years. His relationship with the coaching staff had a big impact on his choice. "They've been recruiting me since I was a freshman," Lundy said. "I appreci- ate the whole coaching staff and the head coach, Pat Chambers, for every- thing they've done." Lundy's decision brings Patrick Chambers' Class of 2019 to four mem- bers. The Nittany Lions previously re- ceived commitments from forward Pat Kelly, power forward Justin McKoy and center Abdou Tsimbila. All have received three stars from Rivals.com. With Lundy's verbal commitment, the Nittany Lions are likely to wrap their re- cruiting efforts during the early signing period in November. The Class of 2019 has filled its allotment of available scholarships. As of mid-October, the Lions' four- member class was rated 21st in the nation by Rivals and fifth in the Big Ten behind Ohio State (fifth), Michigan (16th), Pur- due (18th) and Maryland (20th).
