OFFENSIVE TACKLE TRISTON MILLER Charlotte Country Day Miller helped Country Day win its first state title since 2010 while going 8-5 on the season. He was named honorable mention all-state for private schools. Rivals.com rates Miller as a three-star prospect, the No. 25 player in the state and the No. 66 offensive tackle in the land. LINEBACKER JAYLON SCOTT Shelby (N.C.) High Scott compiled 82 total stops, an im- pressive 18 tackles for loss, five sacks, three passes bro- ken up, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two blocked punts while help- ing Shelby reach the quar- terfinals of the 2-AA state playoffs with a 10-3 record. He is part of the group of commits picked for the Shrine Bowl. He is ranked by Rivals.com as a three- star recruit, the No. 31 player in the state and the No. 41 outside linebacker in the nation. LONG SNAPPER JOE SHIMKO Wall (N.J. ) Township High Shimko played some linebacker this year and had 13 tackles while help- ing Wall finish 6-3 on the season. Rubio Long Snapping ranks him as the No. 4 long snapper in the class of 2019. LINEBACKER DRAKE THOMAS Wake Forest (N.C.) Heritage High Thomas' season ended after the first round of the 4-A state play- offs. He had 123 tackles (52 solo), three sacks, two safe- ties, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two passes broken up and two interceptions (one pick-six), and rushed 50 times for 280 yards and seven scores in 12 games, during which Heritage went 8-4. Thomas was picked for the Shrine Bowl. He is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 21 player in North Carolina and the No. 23 inside linebacker in the country. WIDE RECEIVER CHRIS TOUDLE Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard High Hoggard had to scramble to piece to- gether its schedule after Hurricane Florence's land- fall in September, but it was 10-1 heading into the quar- terfinals of the 4-A state playoffs. Toudle has caught 19 passes for 286 yards and four scores and rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns. Rivals.com lists him as a three-star re- cruit and the No. 50 player in the state. TIGHT END KAM WALKER Canton (N.C.) Pisgah High Walker helped Pisgah go 10-1 in the reg- ular season to earn a No. 1 seed in the state 2-AA play- offs, but it was upset in the opening round.
