60 ■ THE WOLFPACKER WOMEN'S BASKETBALL this season — the Pack's 84-46 trouncing of Maine Dec. 15, when it shot 56.9 percent for the game, produced the biggest difference. But one game after losing then-leading scorer Grace Hunter, the Wolfpack annihi- lated Boston College in its first ACC road game of the season Jan. 6, hitting 34 of 58 attempts (58.6 percent) in an 85-69 win that tied for most points in a game for the campaign. Best Offensive Performance (Individual) In that same game against BC, Leslie set a single-game benchmark for the 2018-19 season. She hit 13 of 15 field goal attempts — including 3 of 4 three-point attempts — and was 2 of 3 from the foul line for a career-high 31 points in the 85-69 victory. Best Win NC State needed a win in its final regu- lar-season game March 3, a home contest against a Miami team ranked 15th in the country and that it had not beaten since 2015. Trailing 38-30 at halftime, the Pack out- scored the Hurricanes 40-30 over the final 20 minutes, led by DD Rogers' career-high 21 points, to edge the 'Canes 70-68 for its 25th regular-season win — another new program record. Best Defensive Effort (Team) Give this one to NC State's season-long effort at the defensive end of the floor. The Pack limited opponents to 36.4-percent shooting, outrebounded them by 8.9 boards a game (42.5 to 33.9) and outscored them by 10.2 points a contest — finishing in the top three in the ACC for each of those categories. As Moore pointed out, the Pack's stron- gest defensive trait this season was its abil- ity to play tough defense without fouling. The Pack's 413 total fouls this season were 164 fewer than its opponents, resulting in just three total disqualifications for the entire season — two by Leslie and one by sophomore guard Kai Crutchfield.
