■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Rivals.com ranks Parker as the No. 97
player in Georgia.
At receiver, the focus remains heavily
on four-star Muhsin Muhammad, a 6-0,
175-pounder at Myers Park High in Char-
lotte. Muhammad, who caught 58 passes
for 1,003 yards and eight scores last year, is
ranked as the No. 5 player in the state, and the
No. 27 wideout and No. 128 overall recruit
nationally by Rivals.com. He made an official
visit to Texas A&M in April and is expected
to take one to NC State in the summer.
Muhammad's teammate and childhood
friend Porter Rooks, a fellow four-star pros-
pect, has already verbally committed to NC
State. Muhammad is the son of the former
NFL star receiver with the same name.
The Pack may only have room for one
more receiver and is also looking to add a
safety in the class. ■
