66 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING The name to watch on the interior could be three-star Henry Bryant from Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic High. Although undersized at 6-0 and 270 pounds, Bryant's athleticism and motor have earned him offers from Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, Pitts- burgh and West Virginia, among others. Rivals.com rates Bryant as the No. 75 player in Florida and the No. 36 defensive tackle in the country. He was named first- team All-County by The Sun Sentinel after re- cording 60 tackles, 15 sacks and four fumble recoveries last fall. Bryant was the defensive line MVP at the Nike Opening Regional in Miami, where his rating of 89.22 was seventh best among defensive linemen there. Bryant made a pair of visits to NC State in the spring, one in March for a junior day and then again in April for the spring game. He will be a December graduate. NC State also is active with in-state de- fensive linemen, headlined by four-star end Desmond Evans from Lee County High in Sanford. Rivals.com ranks Evans as the top player in the state, and the No. 2 weakside defensive end and No. 38 overall prospect in the country. The 6-6, 240-pounder had 12 sacks last year and 14 as a sophomore. Evans has made multiple trips to UNC, NC State and South Carolina. Another four-star to watch is Kedrick Bingley-Jones, a 6-4, 275-pounder at Prov- idence Day School in Charlotte. Bingley- Jones, a one-time Florida commitment, had 49 tackles and eight sacks in eight games a season ago. He has scheduled an official visit to Ohio State. Like Evans, Bingley-Jones has made repeated visits to NC State. Rivals.com rates Bingley-Jones as the No. 6 recruit in the state and the No. 132 overall player in the nation. Other Names To Watch Three-star linebacker Mohamed Kaba from Clinton (N.C.) High is set to announce his decision in mid-May, with NC State, South Carolina and UNC believed to be the top three contenders. Rivals.com lists the 6-3, 205-pounder as the No. 14 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 36 outside linebacker in the country. NC State may only be seeking one line- backer in this class. If it misses on Kaba, it could be a strong contender with three-star Jayland Parker, a 6-2, 215-pounder from Westside High in Macon, Ga. Parker called NC State one of his "dream schools" and has an offer from the Pack along with Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Min- nesota, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Pur- due, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
