Step Up to the Plate 2013
The 2013 Step Up to the Plate event was
held at the John Paul Jones Arena on Friday,
Feb. 1. This year's event welcomed former
Cavalier great and current three-time world
champion, Javier Lopez. Special guest Tim

Donors and fans show their support of
Virginia baseball at the annual Step Up to
the Plate fundraising event in JPJ Arena.
Guests were also able to bid on close to
100 items at the event.
Kurkjian, ESPN baseball analyst, served as the
emcee with special remarks shared by baseball
coach Brian O'Connor and senior associate
director of athletics for programs Jane Miller.
Through ticket sales, table sponsorships and
auction revenue, the event raised over $65,000
for the Virginia baseball program. The Virginia
Athletics Foundation and Virginia baseball are
grateful for the support of loyal fans and donors
who have helped make the program one of the
best in the country.
