■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Porter Rooks from Myers Park High in
Charlotte.
Love participated in a one-day camp at
NC State in June and was back for the Al-
pha Wolf Showcase in July. He also antici-
pates coming back for multiple Wolfpack
football games in the fall.
The 5-9, 165-pound Love notched 12
tackles in seven games last year. He is
listed by Rivals.com as the No. 23 junior
in the state, and also has offers from Duke,
Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Penn State
and Tennessee.
Kicker
There is a chance that NC State takes a
kicker in the 2021 class. By the time that
group signs, Pack star kicker Christopher
Dunn will have just completed his junior
season. Landing a kicker would help the
Pack be prepared for Dunn's eventual de-
parture.
Over the summer, NC State gave an offer
to Eddie Czaplicki from Providence High
in Charlotte. The 6-1, 185-pounder made
8 of 9 field goal attempts with a long of 47
yards and connected on all 25 of his extra
points as a sophomore. He also averaged
40.3 yards on 33 punts.
KornblueKicking.com ranks Czaplicki
as the No. 3 kicker nationally in the 2021
class, while Kohl's Kicking has him at
No. 6 among juniors. ■
