Her junior and senior seasons, she led the team to five more postseason victories and helped the Pack clinch back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances. "There were so many great players that I played with over the last four years," King said. "I think the program will continue to see success. Our class had a really big im- pact, we had a lot of starters in our class." The recent success of the women's soccer program comes during a momentous time for the sport. Following the U.S. Women's National Team's World Cup in 2019, leagues such as the NWSL are growing. With the emergence of the ACC Network, which pro- vides a national platform to sports that have not been traditionally televised, the interest in the collegiate game is likely to trickle down. "Even over this past year, the support and progress have been substantial," King said. "I just think that over the next few years, women's sports as a whole are going to make so much progress." King said she's excited for the next step in her career and is ready to embrace the chal- lenges of becoming a pro. "There are so many things to be excited for," King said. "At NC State, my family was at every game, they drove down from Jersey every weekend to see me play. "Obviously, it's not possible to go to Utah for every game. It's going to be hard, but I'm excited to embrace all of that and just grow as a person and as a player." ■ King concluded her NC State career third all time in starts (88), points (115) and goals (48), and became the second player in program history to earn All-ACC accolades four times.
