but won't be satisfied by any title until it's
national champion.
"I started off the year pretty hot," he said.
"Maybe I had a few setbacks, but I have a
lot of faith and trust in the coaching staff
that I'm going to peak at the right time.
Now it's just me doing my job as a team-
mate and leader to get our team ready to
really peak for ACCs and NCAAs; get ready
to win a national championship.
"I don't want to sell myself short this
year. I think I have an opportunity to win
big things. I'm going to let it fly and have
fun with it." ■
Hidlay entered the postseason ranked
No. 3 nationally at 184 pounds after he
went 22-3 during the regular season,
including a 14-1 mark in dual matches
and five wins over ranked foes (tied for
second on the team).
