Adds Two Five-Star
Commitments For 2021
NC State women's basketball coach Wes
Moore and staff are off to a hot start in the
2021 recruiting cycle with two five-star
pickups in late May.
The first to commit was combo guard
Jessica Timmons of North Mecklenburg
High in Charlotte, N.C. Timmons, listed
at 5-8, is ranked No. 18 for her position
and No. 45 overall nationally accord-
ing to ESPN HoopGurlz. She averaged
24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.6 steals
per game in her junior season with North
Mecklenburg.
"She's always going to score, that's no
problem," said Jennifer Baker, Timmons'
high school coach. "You put her in the
game, you can count on her putting some
points up."
The second commitment came from an-
other combo guard in Aziaha James from
Princess Anne High in Virginia Beach, Va.
James is the No. 8 guard and the No. 21
overall prospect in the country according
to ESPN HoopGurlz. The 5-9 prospect
averaged 18.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.7
steals per game last season.
"Wolfpack Nation is a good nation to be
a part of," James told ESPN Radio 94.1 in
the Tidewater area.
