He's way up there and defi- nitely tops offensively, but I'd probably go with [linebacker] Devin Bush. [De- fensive tackle] Maurice Hurst would be up there as well. But Robinson kept the program relevant for a while. The Brady Hoke years were dark, but would have been a black hole without Robinson. — pickles24 • Quarterback of the only Michigan team to win 11 games and win a BCS/ New Year's Six game this decade. Peppers is the best all-around football player I've seen since Charles Woodson. He could have been an All-American at several positions. He was a two-year starter on our two best defenses of the decade, the best punt return man since Desmond Howard, played all three phases, a Heisman finalist and the best player on two teams that went a com- bined 20-6. — dangoldss • Agree on Denard and those who put Bush second. I'd also put Gallon and [tackle Taylor] Lewan in the conversa- tion for No. 2. Peppers is a tough one because he only played two seasons and never appeared in a bowl game. He is right there with Denard and Bush for tal- ent and excitement, but production wise his limited appearances knock him down a peg. Plus, despite his play- making ability, he didn't make any big plays in the big games. — Big Ten Blue • How is [cornerback] Jourdan Lewis not being mention more in this conver- sation? All the guy did was just not give up completions … pretty much ever. He had some good kick returns as well. I love Denard, but it's hard to argue that Lewis wasn't thoroughly more dominant at his position than Robin- son was at his. — ImissMichigan • Denard was definitely the best offen- sively and most exciting, but Bush was the best player overall. I actually think he was underrated in college despite some accolades.
