In just three seasons, junior kicker Christopher
Dunn has become the new standard-bearer for
making field goals at NC State.
Dunn's 39-yard kick with 3:31 left in the Wolf-
pack's 23-13 win over visiting Georgia Tech in
the regular-season finale was his third of the
game and the 56th of his career, passing Niklas
Sade (2011-14) for the most made field goals in
program history. Sade was 55 of 79 (69.6 percent)
on field goals in a Wolfpack uniform.
Dunn is currently 56 of 65 (86.2 percent) on field
goals, making a pair from 53 yards in 2020 for his
career longs. He has also made all 119 of his career
extra point attempts. This season, Dunn was 12
of 15 on field goals and 40 of 40 on extra points.
His 119 extra points are tied with Josh Cza-
jkowski (2008-10) for second most at NC State
behind Sade's 167. Given that Dunn could con-
ceivably kick for two more seasons with the Wolf-
pack because the NCAA froze eligibility this fall,
he could catch Sade on point after tries as well.
Dunn may also be able to catch another no-
table field goals mark if he kicked for two more
seasons. Florida State's Dustin Hopkins (2009-12)
holds the ACC record for most made with 88.
