Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (3 times). Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands. (3 times). Sweet Mother I place this cause in your hands. (3 times). Thank you for your mercy to me and mine. Amen. This prayer must be said for 3 days and after 3 days your request will be granted and the prayer must be published. Thank you. P.A.S. Call 877-630-8768 to advertise of the century, which led to his first stint in television, with ABC. BEYOND THE GLORY At age 28, Taylor was a retired mil- lionaire, a renowned champion, a homeowner with zero debt … and completely unfulfilled internally. "It was 15 minutes of fame that I didn't necessarily want, and af- ter time it was money that I didn't need," Taylor said of the two-year contract he signed with ABC. Although the network liked his work and wanted him full time that included a move to Bristol, Conn., Tay- lor walked away. He donated his entire salary in his second year to create the Aaron Taylor Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity, all third-party audited, with no personal use even though his dona- tions have doubled it, and is managed through the San Diego Foundation. Studies has shown that a majority of retired professional athletes are ei- ther divorced, bankrupt or involved in substance abuse shortly after step- ping down from their glamour stage. For Taylor, the first two were not is- sues as a single man with accrued wealth, but … "I had battled depression and anxi- ety and was using negative coping strategies of drinking large quantities of tasty, frosty beverages," he said candidly. "The lowest common de- nominator of what was going wrong in all the situations of my life was me. … I went through a mid-life crisis at the end of my 20s and was forced to answer the question much earlier than I wanted to of, 'Who am I, what do I want and what am I about?'" In the spring of 2001 Taylor par- ticipated in a five-month volunteer placement program and taught Eng- lish to high school students in South America. He later won awards for his post-tsunami work in Sri Lanka, mentoring children and as a transi- tion support specialist for the NFL Players Association. The days with head coach Lou Holtz and line coach Joe Moore — he is a founder of the Joe Moore Award that began in 2015 and honors the nation's top college offensive line — still resonated. "Great coaches are great teachers, and that's what Coach Holtz was and Coach Moore was," Taylor said. "They taught us how to be men, they taught us that we're capable of do- ing more than we think we can, that we're tougher than we think we are." Married since 2008 to his wife, Lina Yanchulova, a former Bulgarian Olympic beach volleyball athlete, Tay- lor's greatest joy has been as a hus- band and a father to two sons, now reaching adolescence, and a daughter. "All those demons that I fought … I'm the luckiest flipping dude I've ever met," he said back in 2013. The harder he worked, the more fulfilled and happier he became. ✦ MEMORABILIA MEMORABILIA Vintage Notre Dame Memorabilia Augie's Locker Room ND Stadium Items, Jerseys, Helmets, Autographs and One-of-a-Kind Rockne Items. The three not in were from the Lou Holtz era: offensive lineman Aaron Taylor (1992-93), cor- nerback Todd Lyght (1989-90) and linebacker Michael Stonebreaker (1988, 1990). With the induction of Taylor this month, it leaves only Lyght and Stonebreaker. Lyght was on the ballot this year and in the past as well, and most likely the next Notre Dame player to be inducted, while Stonebreaker has not been on any ballots. The Fighting Irish have the most player rep- resentation in the Hall with 48, and also have six head coaches from Jesse Harper (1913-17) to Holtz (1986-96). — Lou Somogyi Todd Lyght
