Coan also went over the 200-yard passing mark for the third consecutive game, just the second time in his career he has done that. 3 Starting left tackles in three games for the Fighting Irish. Freshman Blake Fisher started the opener versus Florida State but suffered a me- niscus injury. Sophomore Michael Carmody started against Toledo but left that game with an ankle injury. Sophomore Tosh Baker got the start versus the Boilermakers. 5 Traveling trophies for the Fighting Irish's ri- valries all remain in their possession. Notre Dame retained the Battle of the Shillelagh Trophy with their victory against Purdue. They also hold the Jeweled Shillelagh (USC), the Leahy Memorial Bowl (Boston College), the Legends Trophy (Stan- ford) and the Megaphone Trophy (Michigan State), and have had all five since the 2018 season. 9 Consecutive wins for Notre Dame against in-state opponents, a streak that includes seven straight victories versus Purdue. The Irish's last loss against an in-state foe was against the Boilermakers (33-19) on Sept. 29, 2007. The Irish now have an all-time mark of 106-33-4 (.755) versus other Indiana schools. 105 Career wins for Brian Kelly at Notre Dame, tying him with Knute Rockne for the most all time by a Notre Dame head coach. 168 All-purpose yards for junior running back Kyren Williams, the third-highest effort of his career in that category. Williams car- ried the ball 12 times for 91 yards and a touch- down, caught two passes for 47 and one score, and returned two punts 30 yards. Prior to playing Purdue at home this year, the last time the Fighting Irish hosted a Big Ten squad was their 24-17 victory over the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 1, 2018. During that stretch of time, they played at Northwestern (a 31-21 win on Nov. 3, 2018) and at Michigan (a 45-14 loss on Oct. 26, 2019).
