in the
last
19 seasons that the
Virginia women's soccer
program has received
at least one All-America
citation from the United Soccer Coaches. This
year, third-year forward DIANA ORDOÑEZ was
tabbed as a first-team section, and second-year
midfielder Lia Godfrey was a second-team pick.
Ordoñez was also named a semifinalist for the
MAC Hermann Trophy and was tabbed as the ACC
Offensive Player of the Year. Her 18 goals tied for
second nationally and led the ACC, while her 39
points were tops in the ACC and ranked eighth
nationally. Eight of her goals were game-win-
ners, which led the nation and is the most
in a single season in Virginia.
We are excited to add a wrestler of Gabe's caliber to our
program. He is a very accomplished guy who comes in
with some big accolades. But, more
important than his wrestling ability,
we are excited to bring in a guy from
a great family and a guy that believes
what we believe. He's a culture
guy that will help us in many
ways beyond the mat."
