(2017-20), DE, Indianapolis Colts: Broke through for a sack in each game for the 1-1 Colts, starting both weeks … Totaled 9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 quarterback hits and 1 fumble FORMER WOLVERINES IN THE MLB Through Sept. 17 • Jake Cronenworth (played at U-M from 2013- 15), IF, San Diego Padres: Suffered a broken wrist Aug. 26 and is out for the season … Batted a ca- reer-low .229 with 105 hits, 10 home runs, 48 RBI and 54 runs in 458 at-bats and 127 appearances for the 72-78 Padres, who stood fourth in the NL West. • Tommy Henry (2017-19), LHP, Arizona Dia- mondbacks: Appeared in 17 outings with 16 starts (89 innings) … Owned a 5-4 record and 4.15 ERA for the 79-72 Diamondbacks, who were second in the hotly contested NL West race and in line for a wild card berth … On the injured list with a left elbow injury, ineligible until the team's final regular-season series versus the Houston Astros, which begins Sept. 29. • Rich Hill (2000-02), LHP, San Diego Padres: Started 22 games and had a 7-10 record for the Pirates, before being traded to the Padres … Had an 0-4 record in four appearances with his new team … The league's oldest player at 43 had a 9.25 ERA with the Padres, after posting a 4.76 mark with the Pirates. ❏ Cesar Ruiz • NFL The New Orleans Saints offensive lineman signed a four-year, $44 million contract with a max value of $46 million and guaranteed amount of $40 million Sept. 9, ahead of his fourth NFL campaign. Jake Moody • NFL The San Francisco 49ers rookie drilled a 57-yard field goal to give his team a 20-17 lead late in the third quarter in a 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams Week 2. The 49ers never trailed after that point. The kick stands as the longest made by a rookie kicker in franchise history and second-longest ever by a 49er. LaMarr Woodley • NFL The former Michigan unanimous All-American and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year (2006) and NFL outside linebacker was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame at a Sept. 14 ceremony.
