Both occurred in the Nittany Lions' 42-0 victory over Michigan State, with sophomore running back KAYTRON ALLEN totaling 137 yards and classmate Nicholas Singleton rushing for 118. As true freshmen in 2022, Allen and Singleton totaled six 100-yard rushing performances. 14 Elite Eight appearances by the Penn State women's soc- cer team, the most of any program in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions reached this year's national quarterfinals by de- feating Saint Louis, 4-3 in double overtime, on Nov. 19 at Jef- frey Field. The victory earned PSU a trip to Clemson, but the Lions weren't able to advance to the College Cup, falling 2-1 to the top-seeded Tigers on Nov. 25. 15 Receiving touchdowns by Penn State tight ends this sea- son, the highest total in the FBS. Juniors Tyler Warren and Theo Johnson both had touchdown catches against Michi- gan State, raising their season totals to 7 and 6, respectively. In addition, redshirt sophomore Khalil Dinkins has 2 touchdown catches this year. 16 Goals by the PSU men's ice hockey team in its two-game sweep of Lindenwood Nov. 24-25 at Pegula Ice Arena. It was the second-most goals in program history in a two-game series, falling just 2 short of a record that PSU set in a home-and-home series against Robert Morris in November 2018. 19.3 Penn State's average points per game against Ohio State and Michigan dur- ing Mike Yurcich's three seasons as offensive coordinator. That was the lowest average of any Penn State OC since the Lions man- aged just 15.8 points versus those two opponents in 2014 and '15 when John Donovan was overseeing the offense. Of the five coaches who have held the full- time offensive coordinator post during James Franklin's tenure, the most successful against the Buckeyes and Wolverines has been Joe Moorhead with a 28.5-point average in 2016 and '17. Yurcich was fired on Nov. 12, one day after Penn State fell at home to Michigan, 24-15. 21 Seasons in which the Nittany Lion football team has won 10 or more regular-season games. Five of those 10-win campaigns have taken place during James Franklin's decade as head coach. With bowl games in- cluded in their victory totals, the Lions have won 10 or more games in 26 seasons. 26 Consecutive games in which Penn State has not allowed a touchdown on the opponent's first possession. That's the longest active streak in the nation. 31st Penn State's finish at the NCAA Women's Cross Country Championships, which took place Nov. 18 in Charlottesville, Va. It was the team's first appearance at the national meet since 2019. Junior Maddie Ullom paced the Nit- tany Lions, finishing the six-kilometer course in 21:00.7 to place 150th overall. 43 Consecutive years in which Penn State has appeared in the NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament. The 14th- ranked Nittany Lions were seeded fifth in the Madison Region this year and opened with victories over Yale and host Kansas in the first two rounds. Penn State remains the only team to have appeared in the Division I tournament every year since it was launched in 1981. 68 Total yards by Michigan State in its 42-0 loss to the Nit- tany Lions on Nov. 24. It was the third-lowest yardage total in the history of the Spartans' program. They averaged just 1.4 yards per play and managed only 5 first downs. In the sec- ond half, Penn State outgained Michi- gan State 238 yards to minus-32. 121 Points by sophomore guard Kanye Clary in the first eight games of the Penn State men's basketball season. That total surpassed Clary's scoring output over 32 games as a true fresh- man.
