No player in Penn State's 2024 class has improved his stock more over the past year than Reynolds. When the Cheshire Academy prospect committed to the Lions in late March, he was listed 977th in the On3 Industry Ranking. He's now the No. 47 prospect in the country, the third-ranked tight end and the top overall player in Penn State's class. Reynolds earned 20 scholarship of- fers, but PSU had his full attention after a March 18 visit. He committed just one week later and went on to enjoy a fine senior season, totaling a team-high 48 catches for 754 yards and 8 touchdowns. Reynolds plans to enroll at Penn State this coming January. Garrett Sexton OL | 6-6 | 265 | Hartland, Wis. Reynolds may have been the biggest riser in this year's class, but Sexton isn't too far behind. When the Arrowhead High offensive tackle picked up an offer from Penn State at the end of March, he was just inside the top 600 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking. Now, Sexton is firmly one of the nation's top tackle prospects at No. 156 in the country and 11th at his position, making him a four- star prospect. After earning 19 total offers, the Wis- consin native chose the Nittany Lions over Iowa, Minnesota and Oklahoma. Sexton ended his recruitment on April 24 and plans to enroll in January. Corey Smith RB | 5-11 | 175 | Waukesha, Wis. A high school teammate of PSU-bound offensive lineman Donovan Harbour, Smith visited for the first time at the end of March to watch spring practice. He returned to State College with Harbour for the Blue-White Game in April and came away from that visit knowing what he wanted to do. He committed to the Lions on April 28. As a junior, Smith amassed 1,209 yards rushing and another 341 yards receiv- ing, totaling 26 touchdowns. He missed most of his senior season after breaking his collarbone in the first game but did return for his team's playoff run, totaling 287 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries in the final four games. Smith holds a three-star rating from On3 but is con- sidered a four-star prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, checking in at No. 24 among running backs nationally. Anthony Speca LB | 6-2 | 220 | Pittsburgh Speca was the second player to com- mit to Penn State's 2024 class, ending his recruitment on Jan. 17. Earning more than 20 scholarship offers, he took mul- tiple visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Pitt, South Carolina and Tennessee. He ultimately chose Penn State over Michigan. In 12 games this season, Speca led Central Catholic with 94 tackles. He had 17 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and a fumble recovery. A three-star prospect, Speca is expected to play middle linebacker for the Nittany Lions. Vaboue Toure S | 6-1 | 200 | Irvington, N.J. Toure has two brothers who ended up playing for Rutgers, including his oldest brother Mohamed, who is a captain for the Scarlet Knights this season. However, he decided that Penn State was the best school for him, committing to the Lions in June after taking an official visit. A four-star prospect who is considered the nation's No. 20 safety by On3, Toure intrigued many of the nation's best pro- grams, including Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Notre Dame. He totaled 74 tackles for Irvington during his senior season and plans to enroll early at Penn State. Mylachi Williams DE | 6-3 | 217 | Philadelphia Williams has emerged as one of the Mid-Atlantic region's top prospects dur- ing the past year, climbing from a three- star rating to a spot among the nation's top 100 players. According to On3's scouts, Williams is the No. 10 edge rusher and No. 79 overall prospect nationally. There's a big disparity between On3's evaluation and those of the other recruit- ing networks, with Williams landing at No. 237 overall and No. 24 at his position in the On3 Industry Ranking, but he's a four-star player in both lists. Williams took three official visits in June, checking out Penn State first before going to Pitt and Syracuse. He commit- ted to the Nittany Lions on July 8. As a senior at Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast, he totaled more than 50 tackles, including 25 for loss and 12 sacks. He also had 4 pass deflections, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Kenny Woseley Jr. CB | 5-11 | 165 | Philadelphia Woseley regularly visited Penn State as an underclassman, traveling to cam- pus five times in 2021 and '22. He then returned for a junior day in late January and made it clear the Nittany Lions were the team to beat. The Imhotep Charter defensive back eventually narrowed his list to Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska and Rutgers before announcing his com- mitment on March 3. A three-star prospect and the No. 77 cornerback nationally according to On3, Woseley totaled 17 tackles and 2 inter- ceptions during the first eight games of his senior season. He was part of a de- fense that posted shutouts in six of its nine regular-season games. ■ James Franklin landed one of the fastest-rising pros- pects in the Northeast when he received a commitment from four-star defensive end Mylachi Williams in July.
