FEBRUARY 2024 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 47 ❱ FOOTBALL RECRUITING opment but can compete for a starting job soon after. 3. OL BLAKE FRAZIER AUSTIN (TEXAS) VANDEGRIFT On3 Industry Ranking: Mid four- star (top 150-200 prospect nationally) EJ's Ranking: High four-star (top 100-150 prospect nationally) Scouting Report: Had my best in- game evaluation out of all the offensive signees. Former tight end who has ter- rific feet and athleticism. Technically sound in pass pro. Excellent kick step and extension. Projects as a multi-year starter as a right tackle. Currently on the "skinny" side at 6-foot-5, 270 pounds but can easily add 50 pounds to his frame. Very exciting ceiling. Made strides as a run blocker as a senior, serving up multiple pancakes per game. Plays with a mean streak on every down. A legacy recruit with the personality to lead and be a future team captain at Michigan. 4. LB COLE SULLIVAN PITTSBURGH CENTRAL CATHOLIC On3 Industry Ranking: Low four- star (outside of the top 300 nationally) EJ's Ranking: High four-star (top 100-150 prospect nationally) Scouting Report: Sullivan has been a consistent rankings riser but is still too low. An absolute heat-seeking mis- sile at the linebacker position with the flexibility to play at Mike, Will and edge. Originally recruited as a defensive ath- lete thanks to his height, length and ver- satility. Does great job of sifting through traffic and smacking ball carriers. Physicality jumps off the tape. Very comfortable in pass coverage. Can rush the passer if needed. Still on the thin side at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, but has the frame to add 30 pounds with ease and be an early-impact player in Ann Arbor. 5. TE BRADY PRIESKORN ROCHESTER (MICH.) ADAMS On3 Industry Ranking: High four- star (top 100-150 prospect nationally) EJ's Ranking: High four-star (top 100-150 prospect nationally) Scouting Report: Tall, lean athletic tight end that has the potential to be Michigan's next great player at the posi- tion. Plays for a run-heavy Adams team but spent most of the last two years split out wide, where he was a big-play threat and a mismatch nightmare in the red zone. Does an excellent job of high pointing the ball and making contested catches. Ad e q u a te s p e e d fo r t h e p os i t i o n . Showed improvement as a route runner as a senior, but offense was still limit- ing. Spent time as an in-line tight end as a sophomore. Very willing blocker in the run game. Can move around in Michi- gan's offense and be a valuable weapon from multiple spots on the field. 6. CB JO'ZIAH EDMOND NAPPANEE (IND.) NORTHWOOD On3 Industry Ranking: Mid four- star (top 200-250 prospect nationally) EJ's Ranking: Mid four-star (top 175-225 prospect nationally) Scouting Report: Tall, long athletic cornerback at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Already possesses a well-filled-out frame and may have an opportunity to compete for a starting job as a true freshman. Posted impressive testing times at Michigan's summer camp, and the speed pops up on tape. Does an excellent job of tracking the ball and coming down with intercep- tions. Doubles as an impressive offen- sive weapon — playing wide receiver and wildcat quarterback. Can use plenty of coaching and technique work but raw athleticism and instincts are there. Shouldn't need too much time in the strength program. 7. DL OWEN WAFLE PRINCETON (N.J.) HUN SCHOOL On3 Industry Ranking: High three- star (outside of the top 300 nationally) EJ's Ranking: Mid four-star (top 175-225 prospect nationally) Cole Sullivan was rated as the fifth-best prospect in Pennsylvania and the 11th-best linebacker in the country by On3.
