20 ■ THE WOLFPACKER BY ETHAN MCDOWELL he NC State athletics de- partment is enjoying one of the most successful years in school history. The Wolfpack Club hit the road this summer to celebrate with those who helped make all of these wins possible. Pints With The Pack is an initiative that puts the club's staff on the road and in front of fans all over North Carolina and beyond. The organization cares about making sure its donors are acknowledged and appreciated, and this event has be- come an important part of that effort. During the past two years, the Wolf- pack Club has traveled everywhere from Asheville to Atlantic Beach, hosting events at local breweries. Members are invited, and all NC State fans are wel- come. It's a chance for the Pack's sup- porters to meet the folks to whom they send their donations each year. Emily Wayland has been with the Wolfpack Club for two years, serving as director of annual giving. One of her favorite parts of the job is making sure the organization's membership feels valued from the highest giving levels to the lowest. "For us, every dollar is important," Wayland said. "You have your $100 do- nor, you have your $1,000 donor, and then, yes, we have our $100,000 donors. For me, that $100 is just as important as that $100,000, and if we don't have all of those people who are giving $100, $500, $1,000, we can't do what we do. "A lot of times, that kind of stuff can go unnoticed. For me, it's really been important in the two years that I've been here to say thank you, and we see you, we hear you, we understand you, and we really appreciate you." The Wolfpack Club's Pints With The Pack tour made 14 stops this year, and the staff brought along a few special guests. The basketball teams' NCAA Tournament trophies were on display at most stops, as was the Pack's ACC Men's Basketball Tournament cham- T POURING THEIR HEARTS OUT 'Pints With The Pack' Tour Gives The Wolfpack Club A Chance To Salute NC State's Supporters Wolfpack Club officials estimate that they hosted about 1,400 NC State supporters during this year's Pints With The Pack tour, which included a stop at the Lynnwood Grill in Raleigh.
