38 ■ THE WOLFPACKER DL B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), Cincin- nati Bengals: Is going into his fourth year with the Bengals after he began his career with the New York Giants. He has been a frequent starter for Cincinnati, posting 104 total tackles with 7 sacks in 30 games over the past two seasons. R B Nyh e i m H i n e s ( 2 0 1 5 -1 7 ) , Cleveland Browns: Missed all of last season following a jet ski accident, but he is healthy again and has signed with the Browns. Hines rejoined offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, who he was with in Buffalo, and will provide quality depth for the Browns' running backs room this season. S Tanner Ingle (2018-22), Los An- geles Rams: After spending the 2023 season on the Rams' practice squad, he is looking to make their active roster this fall. The undrafted second-year player is on the outside looking in to make the 53-man roster, according to The Athletic. OLB Savion Jackson (2022-23), Los Angeles Chargers: Signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent this past spring and has spent the off- season with the team. He was cut and re-signed during the preseason, looking to stick with the Chargers — either on the active roster or practice squad. DT Justin Jones (2014-17), Ari- zona Cardinals: The former third- round pick by the Chargers is entering his first season in Arizona. He signed a three-year deal with the Cardinals this offseason after spending the past two seasons with the Chicago Bears. Jones has 218 career tackles, including 12 sacks, with 1 forced fumble and 3 fumble recoveries. LB Vi Jones (2019-21), Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Spent the 2023 season on the Buccaneers' practice squad follow- ing a season on the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad in 2022. He has appeared in three career NFL games, all on special teams with Seattle. CB Robert Kennedy III (2023), Los Angeles Chargers: Signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in April. As of late August, The Athletic was projecting him to miss the 53-man roster. RB Zonovan Knight (2019-21), Detroit Lions: Is in his second season with the Lions. He suffered a season- ending injury last October after two games. Knight has 313 career rushing yards and a touchdown on 88 carries, most of which came in seven games with the Jets in 2022. The former un- drafted free agent is looking to solidify his role in the Lions' backfield in train- ing camp. DT T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), San Francisco 49ers: After spending time with nine other NFL franchises, Mc- Gill appears to have found a home in San Francisco. He is entering his third season with the 49ers, the longest stint with any squad during his 11-year ca- reer. He has compiled 45 career tackles, including 5.5 sacks, along with 3 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles. C Dylan McMahon (2019-23), Philadelphia Eagles: Was a sixth- round draft choice this past spring after he put together a solid five-year career at NC State. McMahon anchored the Wolfpack's offensive line last fall and is looking for a spot on the Eagles' active roster, most likely at center. DT Alim McNeill (2018-20), De- troit Lions: A third-round draft pick by the Lions in 2021, McNeill is back for another year in the Motor City. He posted a career-best 5 sacks last season, even though he played in only 13 games due to a midseason injury. WR Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers impressed in his first season in Las Vegas, amassing 71 receptions for 807 yards and a career- best 8 touchdowns. Now he's looking to continue the upward trend with another quarterback, former East Carolina and Washington State signal-caller Gardner Minshew. DT Larrell Murchison (2017-19), Los Angeles Rams: Played a career- best 15 games last season with the Rams. He recorded 16 total tackles, including 7 solo stops. The defensive lineman was banged up in the preseason but should be able to make the active roster again this fall, according to The Athletic. K Brayden Narveson (2023), Ten- nessee Titans: NC State's record- holder for the longest made field goal (57 yards) impressed in the Titans' pre- season camp. He went 3 of 3, including a 59-yarder and a 46-yard walk-off field goal, in Tennessee's 16-15 win over the Jacoby Brissett has been battling 2024 first-round draftee Drake Maye for the New England Patriots' starting quarterback job.
