or college football fans across the
country, one of the most highly antici-
pated days on the 2024 college foot-
ball calendar wasn't Week 0, the first
episode of College GameDay on ESPN, or the
home opener at their favorite team's stadium.
For many, it was the official reintroduction
of EA Sports College Football 25, the video
game. It marked the first time in 11 years that
the game had been produced after it was dis-
continued in the summer of 2013 due to im-
pending legal troubles over the improper use
of student-athletes' name, image and likeness.
