A SEASON
TO REMEMBER
Virginia volleyball has enjoyed one of its
best seasons in recent memory, with the
Cavaliers amassing a 21-10 overall record
and a 11-9 mark in ACC play. UVA was one
of five schools in the Power Four to notch a
10-win improvement from 2023.
The ACC slate was highlighted by wins
over then-No. 16 Florida State for the high-
est-ranked win in program history, breaking
the Memorial Gymnasium attendance record
against top-ranked Pittsburgh, blanking Mi-
ami 3-0 in front of 2,982 fans at John Paul
Jones Arena and sweeping Virginia Tech in
the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash.
"I'm so thankful for this community and
how they have supported us from Day 1.
The invested crowds, the number of people
in the stands, the buzz in the community
is incredible," head coach Shannon Wells
said. "They are a huge part of our success,
and we are excited to continue this journey
with them through postseason play."
Overall, the 21 wins are the most in a
season for UVA since 2006 (23) and the
11 ACC victories are the most for the Hoos
since 2013 (11).
"This season has been one of the best
seasons since we've come to UVA, but
it's more than just the wins," Wells said.
"We have a group of incredible women
who have come to UVA to leave their own
legacy, believe in our vision, and do it the
right way."
