The Fighting Irish notched seven ACC wins by at least 30 points for the second time since joining the ACC and had a plus-25.2 point differential per outing for its nine home league games (8-1). 17 Straight wins for the Notre Dame men's lacrosse team — the longest streak in program history — after it closed the 2024 campaign with 14 straight vic- tories and then opened the 2025 season with three straight wins. The record-setting streak was snapped March 1 in Atlanta with an 11-10 loss to Maryland, last year's national runner-up. As of March 10, the Fighting Irish had 39 wins in their last 44 games, with 25 of those triumphs coming against ranked opponents. In addition, 27 of the victories have been by five goals or more. The Irish needed to hit big in the secondary in the 2025 cycle, and they didn't really miss on any of their top targets. Mickens was a big reason. He has emerged as one of the absolute premier recruiters in the land. "In addition to being a terrific on-field coach, being able to point towards the development of the likes of Benjamin Morrison and Xavier Watts on Saturdays, Mickens is never beat from a relation- ship standpoint. The Irish evaluate well, and he's on these coveted players from the beginning and consistent throughout." — On3 vice president of recruiting and transfer portal Steve Wiltfong on including Notre Dame defensive backs coach Mike Mickens on his list of 10 of the top recruiters in the country for the 2025 cycle It was a great season. We'll be back. We got to raise some money for the Irish now. That's where my money is going. Screw my family. It's all going to Notre Dame football. I was sitting there watching the confetti for Ohio State, and I immediately called my agent and said, 'Let's book a show and give all the money to Notre Dame.' Notre Dame needs a championship." — Comedian and Notre Dame fan Shane Gillis on "Nate and Shane's Secret Podcast," prior to announcing in early March that he will be part of a star-studded show with musical artists Zach Bryan and Dermot Kennedy at Notre Dame Stadium Sept. 6 during the Fighting Irish's first bye week of the 2025 season 4 NCAA women's basketball players finished the regular season with averages of at least 11.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game: Fresno State forward Mia Jacobs (18.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.1 steals per game); LSU guard Aneesah Morrow (18.2, 14.0, 2.6); Coppin State forward Laila Lawrence (16.7, 10.21, 2.5); and Notre Dame forward LIATU KING (11.6, 10.9, 2.1).
