time, he's planning on making himself
right at home in Crisler Center and
other Big Ten basketball venues.
The native of Opunake, New Zealand,
becomes the next Vlad Goldin, in terms
of willingness to pack his bags in far-
flung realms and head to Ann Arbor.
But a better comparison might be Franz
Wagner, the native of Berlin, Germany,
who brought a lanky frame, aggressive
approach and good shooting touch to
Michigan, and then the NBA.
In fact, Goodman himself made that
comparison not long ago. He noted to
Michigan's website MGoBlue.com the
likenesses he sees in his game to those

A year ago, Goodman performed in the FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul, helping New Zealand capture fourth place. His production — 17.0 points, 6.3
rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game — landed him on the all-tournament team.
