Through the season's first three weeks, Oregon was ranked 18th in the FBS in total offense and 24th in total defense. It's a far bigger challenge than anything Penn State has faced to this point in the campaign, but the assignment remains the same: keep leaning into the passing game until it becomes the strength that PSU needs it to be. The coaching staff knew going into the season that it had a big job on its hands replacing last year's leading pass catcher, tight end Tyler Warren, as well as out- going transfer receivers Harrison Wal- lace III and Omari Evans. The transition was never going to be seamless, and the team's early results confirmed as much. The question now is whether the work- in-progress can turn into something more as the competition stiffens. The Nittany Lions understand the blueprint. The task ahead is to follow through. ■ OFFENSE QUARTERBACK No. Name Cl. Ht.
