Jake Cronenworth • MLB The San Diego Padres second baseman appeared in three postseason games and had 11 at-bats but didn't get a hit. Cronenworth played in 135 regular-season tilts, registering a .246 batting average with 103 hits, 59 RBI and 61 runs. Max Pacioretty • NHL Pacioretty retired from the NHL after 17 seasons and was hired as special assistant to Michigan head coach Brandon Naurato Sept. 30. Naurato said, "Our players are going to learn a ton from him the way he sees the game, how he prepares and how he carries himself." Brandon Graham • NFL The 37-year-old retired as a Super Bowl champion following the 2024 season, but announced Oct. 20 he's going to return to his Philadelphia Eagles, with which he played the last 15 years.
