42 ■ THE WOLFPACKER BY BRIAN REINHARDT oming off an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Tour- nament — its best showing since 2021 — the NC State wrestling team is welcoming back multiple national title contenders, leading to high expectations this season. The Wolfpack's potential start- ing lineup features a returning na- tional champion (Vince Robinson at 125 pounds), four All-Americans (Robinson, Ryan Jack, Matty Singleton and Isaac Trumble), and five wrestlers ranked by InterMat in the preseason top 10 of their respective weight classes. Here's a look at how the Pack's lineup is taking shape. 125 pounds Projected starter: No. 1 Vince Rob- inson (R-So.) The returning national champion at 125, Robinson was a Cinderella story last year. He went from being a backup coming off a redshirt season to earning the starting spot in mid-November to winning the Pack's ninth national title in March. This year is vastly different.
