That's evident whenever the 4 2-yea r- o l d ta l ks, especially when the s u b je c t i s h i s NC State men's basket- ball squad. Wade arrived on campus with plenty of fanfare in late March, and now it's nearly time for the new era of Wolfpack basketball to commence. The first-year coach said his roster is built to win right away. "We can have a special season. We've got really, really good players. We have everything that we need," Wade said. "If it doesn't get done, that's on me. I'm not complaining about nothing. We have the NIL backing that we need, the revenue-share backing that we need. We've got the staff we need. It's on us to deliver. It's on me to deliver. And we're going to deliver." Wade has yet to experience a los- ing season and has made seven NCAA Tournament appearances in his 11 years running college basketball programs. He started out at Chattanooga, followed by stops at Virginia Commonwealth, LSU, McNeese and now NC State. He isn't wrong to have high expecta- tions for his first season in the ACC.
