even games into Notre Dame's
2025 football season, the num-
ber of words redshirt junior
defensive end Joshua Burnham
spoke in his Under Armour commercial
cameo with comedian Shane Gillis out-
numbered his total tackles.
Burnham tallied just 5 tackles while
never playing more than 25 defensive
snaps in Notre Dame's first seven games.
His two lines of dialogue in the Under
Armour commercial totaled eight words.
"What is this?" Burnham said in the
commercial. "None of us like it."
Burnham's words were in response
to Gillis, a massive Notre Dame football
fan in real life, bombing a locker room
speech as a fictional donor demanding
to be around the program. The words
could also apply to those who expected
a bigger role for Burnham in Notre
Dame's defense this season.
