That gave Notre Dame a commanding 28-10 lead. Feature performers: Sophomore linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa stuffed Woodson short of the first down on fourth-and-2 from the Navy 33. On the very next play, Carr hit redshirt sophomore wide receiver KK Smith for a 34-yard scoring pass. Backup tight end Ty Washington also had a touchdown reception in the period. FOURTH QUARTER NOTRE DAME 49, NAVY 10 Top moment: On fourth down- and-3, third-string sophomore running back Aneyas Williams powered through a loaded box, then broke free and outran the entire Navy defense for a 54-yard touchdown. Feature performers: Among the reserves who got to frolic in the fourth- quarter snow was freshman Jerome Bet- tis Jr., who took his first snaps and made his first career catch. Stats: The Irish dominated in every phase, including outrushing the na- tion's No. 1 rushing team 249 to 206. Items: The Irish actually won time of possession, and went penalty-free and turnover-free. ✦ Redshirt sophomore Jaiden Ausberry (No. 4) led the way for a strong Irish defensive performance, mak- ing a team-best 8 total stops with 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.
