62 THE WOLVERINE ❱ JANUARY 2026 BY CLAYTON SAYFIE F ormer Michigan running back Blake Corum put forth a career effort in the Los Angeles Rams' 45-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals Dec. 7 with his uptick in production continuing. The 5-foot-8, 202-pounder rushed 12 times for a career-best 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, highlighted by a 48-yard touchdown run that is the longest of his career. "[Breaking a big touchdown run is] definitely something I've been wanting to do and feel like I've been super close," Corum said. "The line has blocked it really well a couple of times, and it was just up to me to finish the play off." Corum has split carries with starter Kyren Williams all season but is earn- ing more playing time lately, and both have been able to stay fresh. Williams is eighth in the league with 1,030 rush- ing yards, punching in 10 touchdowns, while Corum has 621 yards and 5 scores on 112 attempts. "When I'm on the sideline, I see Kyren break off and run, I get hyped," Corum said. "And that makes me, when I go in, I want to break off a long one just so we can keep feeding off each other." Corum followed that performance up with an 11-carry, 71-yard, 1-touchdown performance in a big 41-34 win over the Detroit Lions that clinched a playoff berth and helped the Rams keep pace with Seattle in the division with both teams chasing the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The running back has now had his three-highest rushing yard totals in the last three games, with 81 and a touch- down on 7 carries against the Carolina Panthers in a 31-28 loss Nov. 30.
