But Will isn't just your regular dad. He's one of the biggest recruiting fig- ures in the state of Utah, operating Al- pha Recruits, which provides mentor- ship, training and 7v7 travel for some of the area's top prospects. Nobody is more well equipped to talk about Whittingham and his staff than Will. "The Kyle Whittingham hire speaks for itself as far as who he is," Will said. "He's going to bring a lot to Ann Arbor. Kyle still has a lot of juice. He's a great football mind. More than that, he'll be able to settle things the way they need to be settled at Michigan. He's a con- summate professional. "He's very well respected nationally. Every room he walks into, he's going to get respect. He's done it all. He's coached at a high level, has won big games and has a very high success rate of putting players in the NFL. Michigan hit a grand slam. The guy covers every base. He has the experience, knowledge and temperament to do this job at a high level." Whittingham finalized his staff shortly after arriving in Ann Arbor and filled his coordinator positions in a hurry. Offensive coordinator Jason Beck is following Whittingham from Utah, while defensive coordinator Jay Hill is coming over from BYU. Will, who played running back at BYU and was actually recruited by Michigan in the late '90s, had high praise for both.
