THE WOLVERINE 2026 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 73 "We ended up with a really good of- fense last year. It was fourth in the nation in scoring [41.2 points per game average], second in rushing. "No panic at all. We feel like we're headed in the right direction." So does Frazier, who insisted the spring reassured him about M i c h i ga n 's m ove forward. "We're going to b e ex p l os ive ," h e said. "We're going to move the ball in a bunch of different ways. If one thing is not working in one game, we'll figure out something else. But we're going to attack the defense in multiple ways, and they're not going to know what's going to hit them." As noted, Frazier figures to be hitting them with even more force. He insists there wasn't a moment last year when everything began to click for him. He just realized more and more a sense of com- fort on the field. His breakthrough game involved Michigan's 24-7 victory over Washington at home. "I did a really good job of making sure I was prepared every game," he said. "It just happened to be Washington that I ended up in there. Being in the game consistently, things become a little bit slower, and you start to understand more of what's going on. I had been exposed to so many good players in practice and had gone through the game plan every week." As a third-year Wolverine, Frazier noted: "My athleticism has been my strength, as long as I've been playing football. Quick feet, switching it up in pass pro, not letting the defensive end know what's coming. There are always things to improve on. "It's understanding scheme, where I can lose a guy if I need to, and under- standing what this new offense brings and the new oppor- tunities for me as a player here." Michigan, he in- sists, will look for opportunities to climb the college foot- ball ladder once again — to the top rung. "It's going to take everything we have," he said. "We have guys that want it. We have a staff that knows what they're do- ing and knows how to do it. At the end of the day, we've just got to stay consis- tent. I truly believe we have everything we need." ❑ "I'm just excited to see how good this team can be. The new staff is unbelievable. The players we've got here are everything we need." FRAZIER Coming out of Austin (Texas) Vandegrift High, Frazier was rated as the nation's No. 164 prospect and No. 11 offensive tackle in the class of 2024. PHOTO BY LON HORWEDEL
