BLUEGOLDONLINE.COM NOV. 7, 2026 17 Notre Dame put a lot on the shoul- ders of that trio in the loss to BYU. They played a combined 235 of the available 243 offensive snaps for three players. That took a toll on the group, but it fortunately came before an off week on the game schedule. "It was definitely rough," Greathouse said. "Depending on how involved you are in a game, you're going to be more sore or less sore depending on the game. "Having our process and the way that we go about things here, it's never too much of an issue to bounce back for the next week and get your body right. Going into prac- tice I felt fine for the bye week. "It's one of those things where, yeah, you're hurting pretty bad after the game, but you always find a way to rally." Notre Dame will finish the regular season with mostly home games, but it should be able to count on Greathouse not being fazed in any playoff games held away from Notre Dame Stadium. The three biggest outputs of his career have come away from home. "Just trust and confidence in myself," Greathouse said of why he's risen to the occasion in those moments. "Knowing the type of player that I am and what I can do. Knowing that whether we're play- ing the number one team in the country or the last-ranked team in the country, I have a process in what I do and I know my abilities. And so, I go out there and do whatever I can to help the team win." How Greathouse carries his recent momentum throughout the rest of the season could allow the offense to take another step forward. But even if big performances don't come on a weekly basis, there's a belief that Greathouse can step up on the biggest stage. "It's good to see, but I take it game by game, and we don't assume that it's going to just last forever," Brown said. "He's done a really good job. He's been really consistent for us this year and I'm really excited with where he is." ✦ "He's getting that confidence back. He's getting that swag- ger back, and it's really fun."
