■ basketball recruiting The Wolfpack tendered the two traveling teammates in mid-August. Athletic and active wing Josh Langford of Huntsville (Ala.) Madison Academy, played with the Atlanta Celtics traveling team. The 6-5, 196-pounder averaged 7.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in about 20 minutes of action, with a high of 12 points in two contests at the NBPA Camp June 12-15 at the University of Virginia. NC State has also offered skilled sophomore forward Braxton Blackwell of Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian Academy, who was with the Celtics 17s squad during the July evaluation period. The 6-7, 205-pound Blackwell has been tracked by Moxley since last September. ESPN.com recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi ranks Giles No. 1 overall in the class of 2016, followed by King No. 4, Langford No. 15 and Blackwell No. 16. • NC State had a parade of class of 2017 standouts take unofficial visits in mid-August thanks to the CP3 Rising Stars camp being held at Forsyth Country Day in Lewisville, N.C. The Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon quartet of freshmen Cody Riley, Ira Lee, Remy Martin and Terrence McBride unofficially visited both Duke and NC State. Riley and Lee are both power forwards, Martin a point guard and McBride a combo guard. Weston (Mass.) The Rivers School freshman forward Jermaine Samuels and Miami Gulliver Prep freshman center Victor Uyaelunmo were also among some of the visitors. NC State has also started the recruiting process with skilled and talented Saginaw (Mich.)
